وَقَالُوا۟

شَىْءٍۢ
shayin
thing
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
خَلَقَكُمْ
khalaqakum
created you
أَوَّلَ
awwala
(the) first
مَرَّةٍۢ
marratin
time
وَإِلَيْهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
﴾21﴿
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you were
تَسْتَتِرُونَ
tastatirūna
covering yourselves
أَن
an
lest
يَشْهَدَ
yashhada
testify
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
against you
سَمْعُكُمْ
samʿukum
your hearing
وَلَآ
walā
and not
أَبْصَـٰرُكُمْ
abṣārukum
your sight
وَلَا
walā
and not
جُلُودُكُمْ
julūdukum
your skins
وَلَـٰكِن
walākin
but
ظَنَنتُمْ
ẓanantum
you assumed
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
لَا
lā
(does) not
يَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
know
كَثِيرًۭا
kathīran
much
مِّمَّا
mimmā
of what
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
﴾22﴿
وَذَٰلِكُمْ
wadhālikum
And that
ظَنُّكُمُ
ẓannukumu
(was) your assumption
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
which
ظَنَنتُم
ẓanantum
you assumed
بِرَبِّكُمْ
birabbikum
about your Lord
أَرْدَىٰكُمْ
ardākum
It has ruined you
فَأَصْبَحْتُم
fa-aṣbaḥtum
and you have become
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīna
the losers
﴾23﴿
