into him
مِن
min
of
رُّوحِى
rūḥī
My spirit
فَقَعُوا۟
faqaʿū
then fall down
لَهُۥ
lahu
to him
سَـٰجِدِينَ
sājidīna
prostrating
﴾72﴿
فَسَجَدَ
fasajada
So prostrated
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
l-malāikatu
the Angels
كُلُّهُمْ
kulluhum
all of them
أَجْمَعُونَ
ajmaʿūna
together
﴾73﴿
إِلَّآ
illā
Except
إِبْلِيسَ
ib'līsa
Iblis
ٱسْتَكْبَرَ
is'takbara
he was arrogant
وَكَانَ
wakāna
and became
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
﴾74﴿
قَالَ
qāla
He said
يَـٰٓإِبْلِيسُ
yāib'līsu
O Iblis
مَا
mā
What
مَنَعَكَ
manaʿaka
prevented you
أَن
an
that
تَسْجُدَ
tasjuda
you (should) prostrate
لِمَا
limā
to (one) whom
خَلَقْتُ
khalaqtu
I created
بِيَدَىَّ ۖ
biyadayya
with My Hands
أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ
astakbarta
Are you arrogant
أَمْ
am
or
كُنتَ
kunta
are you
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْعَالِينَ
l-ʿālīna
the exalted ones
﴾75﴿
