the losers
﴾141﴿
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ
fal-taqamahu
Then swallowed him
ٱلْحُوتُ
l-ḥūtu
the fish
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
مُلِيمٌۭ
mulīmun
(was) blameworthy
﴾142﴿
فَلَوْلَآ
falawlā
And if not
أَنَّهُۥ
annahu
that he
كَانَ
kāna
was
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
l-musabiḥīna
those who glorify
﴾143﴿
لَلَبِثَ
lalabitha
Certainly, he (would have) remained
فِى
fī
in
بَطْنِهِۦٓ
baṭnihi
its belly
إِلَىٰ
ilā
until
يَوْمِ
yawmi
the Day
يُبْعَثُونَ
yub'ʿathūna
they are resurrected
﴾144﴿
فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ
fanabadhnāhu
But We cast him
بِٱلْعَرَآءِ
bil-ʿarāi
onto the open shore
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while he
سَقِيمٌۭ
saqīmun
(was) ill
﴾145﴿
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا
wa-anbatnā
And We caused to grow
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
over him
شَجَرَةًۭ
shajaratan
a plant
مِّن
min
of
يَقْطِينٍۢ
yaqṭīnin
gourd
﴾146﴿
وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ
wa-arsalnāhu
And We sent him
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
مِا۟ئَةِ
mi-ati
a hundred
أَلْفٍ
alfin
thousand
أَوْ
aw
or
يَزِيدُونَ
yazīdūna
more
﴾147﴿
