لِّيَسْـَٔلَ

That He may ask
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīna
the truthful

وَأَعَدَّ
wa-aʿadda
And He has prepared
لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
lil'kāfirīna
for the disbelievers
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
أَلِيمًۭا
alīman
painful
﴾8﴿
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanū
believe
ٱذْكُرُوا۟
udh'kurū
Remember
نِعْمَةَ
niʿ'mata
(the) Favor
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
upon you
إِذْ
idh
when
جَآءَتْكُمْ
jāatkum
came to you
جُنُودٌۭ
junūdun
(the) hosts
فَأَرْسَلْنَا
fa-arsalnā
and We sent
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
upon them
رِيحًۭا
rīḥan
a wind
وَجُنُودًۭا
wajunūdan
and hosts
لَّمْ
lam
not
تَرَوْهَا ۚ
tarawhā
you (could) see them
وَكَانَ
wakāna
And Allah is
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
And Allah is
بِمَا
bimā
of what
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūna
you do
بَصِيرًا
baṣīran
All-Seer
﴾9﴿
إِذْ
idh
When
جَآءُوكُم
jāūkum
they came upon you
مِّن
min
from
فَوْقِكُمْ
fawqikum
above you
وَمِنْ
wamin
and from
أَسْفَلَ
asfala
below
مِنكُمْ
minkum
you
وَإِذْ
wa-idh
and when
زَاغَتِ
zāghati
grew wild
ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
l-abṣāru
the eyes
وَبَلَغَتِ
wabalaghati
and reached
ٱلْقُلُوبُ
l-qulūbu
the hearts
ٱلْحَنَاجِرَ
l-ḥanājira
the throats
وَتَظُنُّونَ
wataẓunnūna
and you assumed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
about Allah
ٱلظُّنُونَا۠
l-ẓunūnā
the assumptions
﴾10﴿
