فَلَبِثَ

أَلْفَ

سَنَةٍ

إِلَّا

save
خَمْسِينَ
khamsīna
fifty
عَامًۭا
ʿāman
year(s)
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
fa-akhadhahumu
then seized them
ٱلطُّوفَانُ
l-ṭūfānu
the flood
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
ظَـٰلِمُونَ
ẓālimūna
(were) wrongdoers
﴾14﴿
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ
fa-anjaynāhu
But We saved him
وَأَصْحَـٰبَ
wa-aṣḥāba
and (the) people
ٱلسَّفِينَةِ
l-safīnati
(of) the ship
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَآ
wajaʿalnāhā
and We made it
ءَايَةًۭ
āyatan
a Sign
لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
lil'ʿālamīna
for the worlds
﴾15﴿
وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
wa-ib'rāhīma
And Ibrahim
إِذْ
idh
when
قَالَ
qāla
he said
لِقَوْمِهِ
liqawmihi
to his people
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
uʿ'budū
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
وَٱتَّقُوهُ ۖ
wa-ittaqūhu
and fear Him
ذَٰلِكُمْ
dhālikum
That
خَيْرٌۭ
khayrun
(is) better
لَّكُمْ
lakum
for you
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمْ
kuntum
you
تَعْلَمُونَ
taʿlamūna
know
﴾16﴿
