(as) an enlightenment
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for the mankind
وَهُدًۭى
wahudan
and a guidance
وَرَحْمَةًۭ
waraḥmatan
and mercy
لَّعَلَّهُمْ
laʿallahum
that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkarūna
remember
﴾43﴿
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
بِجَانِبِ
bijānibi
on (the) side
ٱلْغَرْبِىِّ
l-gharbiyi
western
إِذْ
idh
when
قَضَيْنَآ
qaḍaynā
We decreed
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
مُوسَى
mūsā
Musa
ٱلْأَمْرَ
l-amra
the Commandment
وَمَا
wamā
and not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ
l-shāhidīna
the witnesses
﴾44﴿
وَلَـٰكِنَّآ
walākinnā
But We
أَنشَأْنَا
anshanā
[We] produced
قُرُونًۭا
qurūnan
generations
فَتَطَاوَلَ
fataṭāwala
and prolonged
عَلَيْهِمُ
ʿalayhimu
for them
ٱلْعُمُرُ ۚ
l-ʿumuru
the life
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
ثَاوِيًۭا
thāwiyan
a dweller
فِىٓ
fī
among
أَهْلِ
ahli
(the) people
مَدْيَنَ
madyana
(of) Madyan
تَتْلُوا۟
tatlū
reciting
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātinā
Our Verses
وَلَـٰكِنَّا
walākinnā
but We
كُنَّا
kunnā
[We] were
مُرْسِلِينَ
mur'silīna
the Senders
﴾45﴿
