ٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ
l-muntaṣirīna
those who (could) defend themselves
﴾81﴿
وَأَصْبَحَ
wa-aṣbaḥa
And began
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
تَمَنَّوْا۟
tamannaw
(had) wished
مَكَانَهُۥ
makānahu
his position
بِٱلْأَمْسِ
bil-amsi
the day before
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
(to) say
وَيْكَأَنَّ
wayka-anna
Ah! That
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
يَبْسُطُ
yabsuṭu
extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
l-riz'qa
the provision
لِمَن
liman
for whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
مِنْ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʿibādihi
His slaves
وَيَقْدِرُ ۖ
wayaqdiru
and restricts it
لَوْلَآ
lawlā
If not
أَن
an
that
مَّنَّ
manna
Allah had favored
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah had favored
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
[to] us
لَخَسَفَ
lakhasafa
He would have caused it to swallow us
بِنَا ۖ
binā
He would have caused it to swallow us
وَيْكَأَنَّهُۥ
wayka-annahu
Ah! That
لَا
lā
not
يُفْلِحُ
yuf'liḥu
will succeed
ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
l-kāfirūna
the disbelievers
﴾82﴿
