(of) his people
إِلَّآ
illā
except
أَن

that
قَالُوٓا۟
qālū
they said
أَخْرِجُوٓا۟
akhrijū
Drive out
ءَالَ
āla
(the) family
لُوطٍۢ
lūṭin
(of) Lut
مِّن
min
from
قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ
qaryatikum
your town
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed, they
أُنَاسٌۭ
unāsun
(are) people
يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
yataṭahharūna
who keep clean and pure
﴾56﴿
فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ
fa-anjaynāhu
So We saved him
وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ
wa-ahlahu
and his family
إِلَّا
illā
except
ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ
im'ra-atahu
his wife
قَدَّرْنَـٰهَا
qaddarnāhā
We destined her
مِنَ
mina
(to be) of
ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
l-ghābirīna
those who remained behind
﴾57﴿
وَأَمْطَرْنَا
wa-amṭarnā
And We rained
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim
upon them
مَّطَرًۭا ۖ
maṭaran
a rain
فَسَآءَ
fasāa
and was evil
مَطَرُ
maṭaru
(the) rain
ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
l-mundharīna
(on) those who were warned
﴾58﴿
