إِلَّا
illā
(are) except
بَشَرٌۭ
basharun
a man
مِّثْلُنَا
mith'lunā
like us
فَأْتِ
fati
so bring
بِـَٔايَةٍ
biāyatin
a sign
إِن
in
if
كُنتَ
kunta
you
مِنَ
mina
(are) of
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
l-ṣādiqīna
the truthful
﴾154﴿
قَالَ
qāla
He said
هَـٰذِهِۦ
hādhihi
This
نَاقَةٌۭ
nāqatun
(is) a she-camel
لَّهَا
lahā
For her
شِرْبٌۭ
shir'bun
(is a share of) drink
وَلَكُمْ
walakum
and for you
شِرْبُ
shir'bu
(is a share of) drink
يَوْمٍۢ
yawmin
(on) a day
مَّعْلُومٍۢ
maʿlūmin
known
﴾155﴿
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
تَمَسُّوهَا
tamassūhā
touch her
بِسُوٓءٍۢ
bisūin
with harm
فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ
fayakhudhakum
lest seize you
عَذَابُ
ʿadhābu
(the) punishment
يَوْمٍ
yawmin
(of) a Day
عَظِيمٍۢ
ʿaẓīmin
Great
﴾156﴿
فَعَقَرُوهَا
faʿaqarūhā
But they hamstrung her
فَأَصْبَحُوا۟
fa-aṣbaḥū
then they became
نَـٰدِمِينَ
nādimīna
regretful
﴾157﴿
