ʿinda
(was) near Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(was) near Allah
عَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmun
great
﴾15﴿
وَلَوْلَآ
walawlā
And why not
إِذْ
idh
when
سَمِعْتُمُوهُ
samiʿ'tumūhu
you heard it
قُلْتُم
qul'tum
you said
مَّا
mā
Not
يَكُونُ
yakūnu
it is
لَنَآ
lanā
for us
أَن
an
that
نَّتَكَلَّمَ
natakallama
we speak
بِهَـٰذَا
bihādhā
of this
سُبْحَـٰنَكَ
sub'ḥānaka
Glory be to You
هَـٰذَا
hādhā
This
بُهْتَـٰنٌ
buh'tānun
(is) a slander
عَظِيمٌۭ
ʿaẓīmun
great
﴾16﴿
يَعِظُكُمُ
yaʿiẓukumu
Allah warns you
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
Allah warns you
أَن
an
that
تَعُودُوا۟
taʿūdū
you return
لِمِثْلِهِۦٓ
limith'lihi
(to the) like of it
أَبَدًا
abadan
ever
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
mu'minīna
believers
﴾17﴿
