وَلَقَدِ

And verily
ٱسْتُهْزِئَ
us'tuh'zi-a
were mocked
بِرُسُلٍۢ
birusulin
Messengers
مِّن
min
before you
قَبْلِكَ
qablika
before you
فَحَاقَ
faḥāqa
then surrounded
بِٱلَّذِينَ
bi-alladhīna
those who
سَخِرُوا۟
sakhirū
mocked
مِنْهُم
min'hum
from them
مَّا
mā
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used
بِهِۦ
bihi
at it
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
yastahziūna
(to) mock
﴾41﴿
قُلْ
qul
Say
مَن
man
Who
يَكْلَؤُكُم
yakla-ukum
(can) protect you
بِٱلَّيْلِ
bi-al-layli
in the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
and the day
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۗ
l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
بَلْ
bal
Yet
هُمْ
hum
they
عَن
ʿan
from
ذِكْرِ
dhik'ri
(the) remembrance
رَبِّهِم
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
مُّعْرِضُونَ
muʿ'riḍūna
turn away
﴾42﴿
