فَأَكَلَا
fa-akalā
Then they both ate
مِنْهَا

فَبَدَتْ

وَطَفِقَا
waṭafiqā

يَخْصِفَانِ

ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ

(of) Paradise
وَعَصَىٰٓ
waʿaṣā
And Adam disobeyed
ءَادَمُ
ādamu
And Adam disobeyed
رَبَّهُۥ
rabbahu
his Lord
فَغَوَىٰ
faghawā
and erred
﴾121﴿
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱجْتَبَـٰهُ
ij'tabāhu
chose him
رَبُّهُۥ
rabbuhu
his Lord
فَتَابَ
fatāba
and turned
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him
وَهَدَىٰ
wahadā
and guided (him)
﴾122﴿
قَالَ
qāla
He said
ٱهْبِطَا
ih'biṭā
Go down
مِنْهَا
min'hā
from it
جَمِيعًۢا ۖ
jamīʿan
all
بَعْضُكُمْ
baʿḍukum
some of you
لِبَعْضٍ
libaʿḍin
to others
عَدُوٌّۭ ۖ
ʿaduwwun
(as) enemy
فَإِمَّا
fa-immā
Then if
يَأْتِيَنَّكُم
yatiyannakum
comes to you
مِّنِّى
minnī
from Me
هُدًۭى
hudan
guidance
فَمَنِ
famani
then whoever
ٱتَّبَعَ
ittabaʿa
follows
هُدَاىَ
hudāya
My guidance
فَلَا
falā
then not
يَضِلُّ
yaḍillu
he will go astray
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَشْقَىٰ
yashqā
suffer
﴾123﴿
