أَفَرَءَيْتَ

Then, have you seen
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī

disbelieved
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

in Our Verses
وَقَالَ
waqāla
and said
لَأُوتَيَنَّ
laūtayanna
Surely, I will be given
مَالًۭا
mālan
wealth
وَوَلَدًا
wawaladan
and children
﴾77﴿
أَطَّلَعَ
aṭṭalaʿa
Has he looked
ٱلْغَيْبَ
l-ghayba
(into) the unseen
أَمِ
ami
or
ٱتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
has he taken
عِندَ
ʿinda
from
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
عَهْدًۭا
ʿahdan
a promise
﴾78﴿
كَلَّا ۚ
kallā
Nay
سَنَكْتُبُ
sanaktubu
We will record
مَا
mā
what
يَقُولُ
yaqūlu
he says
وَنَمُدُّ
wanamuddu
and We will extend
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābi
the punishment
مَدًّۭا
maddan
extensively
﴾79﴿
وَنَرِثُهُۥ
wanarithuhu
And We will inherit (from) him
مَا
mā
what
يَقُولُ
yaqūlu
he says
وَيَأْتِينَا
wayatīnā
and he will come to Us
فَرْدًۭا
fardan
alone
﴾80﴿
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟
wa-ittakhadhū
And they have taken
مِن
min
besides Allah
دُونِ
dūni
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
besides Allah
ءَالِهَةًۭ
ālihatan
gods
لِّيَكُونُوا۟
liyakūnū
that they may be
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
عِزًّۭا
ʿizzan
an honor
﴾81﴿
كَلَّا ۚ
kallā
Nay
سَيَكْفُرُونَ
sayakfurūna
they will deny
بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ
biʿibādatihim
their worship (of them)
وَيَكُونُونَ
wayakūnūna
and they will be
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
against them
ضِدًّا
ḍiddan
opponents
﴾82﴿
