وَإِن
wa-in
And indeed
كَادُوا۟
kādū

لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ

ٱلَّذِىٓ

أَوْحَيْنَآ
awḥaynā
We revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilayka
to you
لِتَفْتَرِىَ
litaftariya
that you invent
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
about Us
غَيْرَهُۥ ۖ
ghayrahu
other (than) it
وَإِذًۭا
wa-idhan
And then
لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ
la-ittakhadhūka
surely they would take you
خَلِيلًۭا
khalīlan
(as) a friend
﴾73﴿
وَلَوْلَآ
walawlā
And if not
أَن
an
[that]
ثَبَّتْنَـٰكَ
thabbatnāka
We (had) strengthened you
لَقَدْ
laqad
certainly
كِدتَّ
kidtta
you almost
تَرْكَنُ
tarkanu
(would) have inclined
إِلَيْهِمْ
ilayhim
to them
شَيْـًۭٔا
shayan
(in) something
قَلِيلًا
qalīlan
a little
﴾74﴿
إِذًۭا
idhan
Then
لَّأَذَقْنَـٰكَ
la-adhaqnāka
We (would) have made you taste
ضِعْفَ
ḍiʿ'fa
double
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati
(in) the life
وَضِعْفَ
waḍiʿ'fa
and double
ٱلْمَمَاتِ
l-mamāti
(after) the death
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَا
lā
not
تَجِدُ
tajidu
you (would) have found
لَكَ
laka
for you
عَلَيْنَا
ʿalaynā
against Us
نَصِيرًۭا
naṣīran
any helper
﴾75﴿
وَإِن
wa-in
And indeed
كَادُوا۟
kādū
they were about
لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ
layastafizzūnaka
(to) scare you
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the land
لِيُخْرِجُوكَ
liyukh'rijūka
that they evict you
مِنْهَا ۖ
min'hā
from it
وَإِذًۭا
wa-idhan
But then
لَّا
lā
not
يَلْبَثُونَ
yalbathūna
they (would) have stayed
خِلَـٰفَكَ
khilāfaka
after you
إِلَّا
illā
except
قَلِيلًۭا
qalīlan
a little
﴾76﴿
