(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌۭ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful
﴾53﴿
وَقَالَ
waqāla
And said
ٱلْمَلِكُ
l-maliku
the king
ٱئْتُونِى
i'tūnī
Bring him to me
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
Bring him to me
أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ
astakhliṣ'hu
I will select him
لِنَفْسِى ۖ
linafsī
for myself
فَلَمَّا
falammā
Then when
كَلَّمَهُۥ
kallamahu
he spoke to him
قَالَ
qāla
he said
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed, you
ٱلْيَوْمَ
l-yawma
(are) today
لَدَيْنَا
ladaynā
with us
مَكِينٌ
makīnun
firmly established
أَمِينٌۭ
amīnun
(and) trusted
﴾54﴿
قَالَ
qāla
He said
ٱجْعَلْنِى
ij'ʿalnī
Appoint me
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
خَزَآئِنِ
khazāini
(the) treasuries
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ
l-arḍi
(of) the land
إِنِّى
innī
Indeed, I
حَفِيظٌ
ḥafīẓun
(will be) a guardian
عَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmun
knowing
﴾55﴿
