ٱلْحَمْدُ

لِلَّهِ

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
وَجَعَلَ

ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ
l-ẓulumāti
the darkness[es]
وَٱلنُّورَ ۖ
wal-nūra
and the light
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
بِرَبِّهِمْ
birabbihim
in their Lord
يَعْدِلُونَ
yaʿdilūna
equate others with Him
﴾1﴿
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaqakum
created you
مِّن
min
from
طِينٍۢ
ṭīnin
clay
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
قَضَىٰٓ
qaḍā
He decreed
أَجَلًۭا ۖ
ajalan
a term
وَأَجَلٌۭ
wa-ajalun
and a term
مُّسَمًّى
musamman
specified
عِندَهُۥ ۖ
ʿindahu
with Him
ثُمَّ
thumma
yet
أَنتُمْ
antum
you
تَمْتَرُونَ
tamtarūna
doubt
﴾2﴿
