وَزَكَرِيَّا

And Zakariya
وَيَحْيَىٰ
wayaḥyā
and Yahya
وَعِيسَىٰ
waʿīsā
and Isa
وَإِلْيَاسَ ۖ
wa-il'yāsa
and Elijah
كُلٌّۭ
kullun
all (were)
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
l-ṣāliḥīna
the righteous
﴾85﴿
وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ
wa-is'māʿīla
And Ishmael
وَٱلْيَسَعَ
wal-yasaʿa
and Elisha
وَيُونُسَ
wayūnusa
and Yunus
وَلُوطًۭا ۚ
walūṭan
and Lut
وَكُلًّۭا
wakullan
and all
فَضَّلْنَا
faḍḍalnā
We preferred
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
the worlds
﴾86﴿
وَمِنْ
wamin
And from
ءَابَآئِهِمْ
ābāihim
their fathers
وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِهِمْ
wadhurriyyātihim
and their descendents
وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ ۖ
wa-ikh'wānihim
and their brothers
وَٱجْتَبَيْنَـٰهُمْ
wa-ij'tabaynāhum
and We chose them
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ
wahadaynāhum
and We guided them
إِلَىٰ
ilā
to
صِرَٰطٍۢ
ṣirāṭin
a path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīmin
straight
﴾87﴿
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
هُدَى
hudā
(is the) Guidance
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
يَهْدِى
yahdī
He guides
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
مِنْ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ
ʿibādihi
His slaves
وَلَوْ
walaw
But if
أَشْرَكُوا۟
ashrakū
they (had) associated partners (with Allah)
لَحَبِطَ
laḥabiṭa
surely (would be) worthless
عَنْهُم
ʿanhum
for them
مَّا
mā
what
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they used to
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūna
do
﴾88﴿
