وَقَالُوا۟

خَالِصَةٌۭ

لِّذُكُورِنَا
lidhukūrinā
for our males
وَمُحَرَّمٌ
wamuḥarramun
and forbidden
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
on
أَزْوَٰجِنَا ۖ
azwājinā
our spouses
وَإِن
wa-in
But if
يَكُن
yakun
is
مَّيْتَةًۭ
maytatan
(born) dead
فَهُمْ
fahum
then they (all)
فِيهِ
fīhi
in it
شُرَكَآءُ ۚ
shurakāu
(are) partners
سَيَجْزِيهِمْ
sayajzīhim
He will recompense them
وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ
waṣfahum
(for) their attribution
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed, He
حَكِيمٌ
ḥakīmun
(is) All-Wise
عَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmun
All-Knowing
﴾139﴿
قَدْ
qad
Certainly
خَسِرَ
khasira
(are) lost
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
قَتَلُوٓا۟
qatalū
killed
أَوْلَـٰدَهُمْ
awlādahum
their children
سَفَهًۢا
safahan
(in) foolishness
بِغَيْرِ
bighayri
without
عِلْمٍۢ
ʿil'min
knowledge
وَحَرَّمُوا۟
waḥarramū
and forbid
مَا
mā
what
رَزَقَهُمُ
razaqahumu
(bas been) provided (to) them
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu
(by) Allah
ٱفْتِرَآءً
if'tirāan
inventing (lies)
عَلَى
ʿalā
against
ٱللَّهِ ۚ
l-lahi
Allah
قَدْ
qad
Certainly
ضَلُّوا۟
ḍallū
they have gone astray
وَمَا
wamā
and not
كَانُوا۟
kānū
they are
مُهْتَدِينَ
muh'tadīna
guided-ones
﴾140﴿
