عَظِيمًۭا
ʿaẓīman
great
﴾40﴿
فَكَيْفَ
fakayfa
So how (will it be)
إِذَا
idhā
when
جِئْنَا
ji'nā
We bring
مِن
min
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
أُمَّةٍۭ
ummatin
nation
بِشَهِيدٍۢ
bishahīdin
a witness
وَجِئْنَا
waji'nā
and We bring
بِكَ
bika
you
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
against
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ
hāulāi
these (people)
شَهِيدًۭا
shahīdan
(as) a witness
﴾41﴿
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
yawma-idhin
(On) that Day
يَوَدُّ
yawaddu
will wish
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
kafarū
disbelieved
وَعَصَوُا۟
waʿaṣawū
and disobeyed
ٱلرَّسُولَ
l-rasūla
the Messenger
لَوْ
law
if
تُسَوَّىٰ
tusawwā
was leveled
بِهِمُ
bihimu
with them
ٱلْأَرْضُ
l-arḍu
the earth
وَلَا
walā
and not
يَكْتُمُونَ
yaktumūna
they will (be able to) hide
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
(from) Allah
حَدِيثًۭا
ḥadīthan
(any) statement
﴾42﴿
