وَإِذْ

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

يَـٰمَرْيَمُ
yāmaryamu
O Maryam
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-laha
Allah
ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ
iṣ'ṭafāki
(has) chosen you
وَطَهَّرَكِ
waṭahharaki
and purified you
وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ
wa-iṣ'ṭafāki
and chosen you
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
over
نِسَآءِ
nisāi
(the) women
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
﴾42﴿
يَـٰمَرْيَمُ
yāmaryamu
O Maryam
ٱقْنُتِى
uq'nutī
Be obedient
لِرَبِّكِ
lirabbiki
to your Lord
وَٱسْجُدِى
wa-us'judī
and prostrate
وَٱرْكَعِى
wa-ir'kaʿī
and bow down
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ٱلرَّٰكِعِينَ
l-rākiʿīna
those who bow down
﴾43﴿
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
مِنْ
min
(is) from
أَنۢبَآءِ
anbāi
(the) news
ٱلْغَيْبِ
l-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
نُوحِيهِ
nūḥīhi
We reveal it
إِلَيْكَ ۚ
ilayka
to you
وَمَا
wamā
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
لَدَيْهِمْ
ladayhim
with them
إِذْ
idh
when
يُلْقُونَ
yul'qūna
they cast
أَقْلَـٰمَهُمْ
aqlāmahum
their pens
أَيُّهُمْ
ayyuhum
(as to) which of them
يَكْفُلُ
yakfulu
takes charge (of)
مَرْيَمَ
maryama
Maryam
وَمَا
wamā
and not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
لَدَيْهِمْ
ladayhim
with them
إِذْ
idh
when
يَخْتَصِمُونَ
yakhtaṣimūna
they (were) disputing
﴾44﴿
