وَٱلَّيْلِ
wa-al-layli
By the night
إِذَا
idhā
when
يَغْشَىٰ
yaghshā
it covers
﴾1﴿
وَٱلنَّهَارِ
wal-nahāri
And the day
إِذَا
idhā
when
تَجَلَّىٰ
tajallā
it shines in brightness
﴾2﴿
وَمَا
wamā
And He Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلذَّكَرَ
l-dhakara
the male
وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
wal-unthā
and the female
﴾3﴿
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
سَعْيَكُمْ
saʿyakum
your efforts
لَشَتَّىٰ
lashattā
(are) surely diverse
﴾4﴿
فَأَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
مَنْ
man
(him) who
أَعْطَىٰ
aʿṭā
gives
وَٱتَّقَىٰ
wa-ittaqā
and fears
﴾5﴿
وَصَدَّقَ
waṣaddaqa
And believes
بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
bil-ḥus'nā
in the best
﴾6﴿
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ
fasanuyassiruhu
Then We will ease him
لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
lil'yus'rā
towards [the] ease
﴾7﴿
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammā
But as for
مَنۢ
man
(him) who
بَخِلَ
bakhila
withholds
وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ
wa-is'taghnā
and considers himself free from need
﴾8﴿
وَكَذَّبَ
wakadhaba
And denies
بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
bil-ḥus'nā
the best
﴾9﴿
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ
fasanuyassiruhu
Then We will ease him
لِلْعُسْرَىٰ
lil'ʿus'rā
towards [the] difficulty
﴾10﴿
وَمَا
wamā
And not
يُغْنِى
yugh'nī
will avail
عَنْهُ
ʿanhu
him
مَالُهُۥٓ
māluhu
his wealth
إِذَا
idhā
when
تَرَدَّىٰٓ
taraddā
he falls
﴾11﴿
