يَوْمَ

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

he strove (for)
﴾35﴿
وَبُرِّزَتِ
waburrizati
And will be made manifest
ٱلْجَحِيمُ
l-jaḥīmu
the Hellfire
لِمَن
liman
to (him) who
يَرَىٰ
yarā
sees
﴾36﴿
فَأَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
مَن
man
(him) who
طَغَىٰ
ṭaghā
transgressed
﴾37﴿
وَءَاثَرَ
waāthara
And preferred
ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
l-ḥayata
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
﴾38﴿
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
Then indeed
ٱلْجَحِيمَ
l-jaḥīma
the Hellfire
هِىَ
hiya
it
ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
l-mawā
(is) the refuge
﴾39﴿
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammā
But as for
مَنْ
man
(him) who
خَافَ
khāfa
feared
مَقَامَ
maqāma
standing
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
(before) his Lord
وَنَهَى
wanahā
and restrained
ٱلنَّفْسَ
l-nafsa
his soul
عَنِ
ʿani
from
ٱلْهَوَىٰ
l-hawā
the vain desires
﴾40﴿
