﴾1﴿
وَلَآ

And nay
أُقْسِمُ

I swear
بِٱلنَّفْسِ
bil-nafsi
by the soul
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
l-lawāmati
self-accusing
﴾2﴿
أَيَحْسَبُ
ayaḥsabu
Does think
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
l-insānu
[the] man
أَلَّن
allan
that not
نَّجْمَعَ
najmaʿa
We will assemble
عِظَامَهُۥ
ʿiẓāmahu
his bones
﴾3﴿
بَلَىٰ
balā
Nay
قَـٰدِرِينَ
qādirīna
(We are) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ʿalā
on
أَن
an
that
نُّسَوِّىَ
nusawwiya
We can restore
بَنَانَهُۥ
banānahu
his fingertips
﴾4﴿
بَلْ
bal
Nay
يُرِيدُ
yurīdu
Desires
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ
l-insānu
[the] man
لِيَفْجُرَ
liyafjura
to give (the) lie
أَمَامَهُۥ
amāmahu
(to) what is before him
﴾5﴿
يَسْـَٔلُ
yasalu
He asks
أَيَّانَ
ayyāna
When
يَوْمُ
yawmu
(is the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
﴾6﴿
فَإِذَا
fa-idhā
So when
بَرِقَ
bariqa
is dazzled
ٱلْبَصَرُ
l-baṣaru
the vision
﴾7﴿
