There are a handful of words in Arabic that always appear as مضاف but do not necessarily create the meaning of belonging or possession.

MEMORIZE them along with their meanings.

The words above remain منصوب unless preceded by a حرف جر.The Arabic term for these special مضاف is ظَرْف. Note that لَدُنْ is always preceded by a مِنْ. The مِنْ is a جر حرف. Together لَدُنْ and مِنْ make a ظرف.
