كَلَّآ ۖ

لِّلشَّوَىٰ

of the skin of the head
﴾16﴿
تَدْعُوا۟

Inviting
مَنْ
man
(him) who
أَدْبَرَ
adbara
turned his back
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
watawallā
and went away
﴾17﴿
وَجَمَعَ
wajamaʿa
And collected
فَأَوْعَىٰٓ
fa-awʿā
and hoarded
﴾18﴿
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna
the man
خُلِقَ
khuliqa
was created
هَلُوعًا
halūʿan
anxious
﴾19﴿
إِذَا
idhā
When
مَسَّهُ
massahu
touches him
ٱلشَّرُّ
l-sharu
the evil
جَزُوعًۭا
jazūʿan
distressed
﴾20﴿
وَإِذَا
wa-idhā
And when
مَسَّهُ
massahu
touches him
ٱلْخَيْرُ
l-khayru
the good
مَنُوعًا
manūʿan
withholding
﴾21﴿
إِلَّا
illā
Except
ٱلْمُصَلِّينَ
l-muṣalīna
those who pray
﴾22﴿
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna
Those who
هُمْ
hum
[they]
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā
at
صَلَاتِهِمْ
ṣalātihim
their prayer
دَآئِمُونَ
dāimūna
(are) constant
﴾23﴿
