وَأَصْحَـٰبُ
wa-aṣḥābu
And (the) companions
ٱلشِّمَالِ
l-shimāli
(of) the left
مَآ
mā
what
أَصْحَـٰبُ
aṣḥābu
(are the) companions
ٱلشِّمَالِ
l-shimāli
(of) the left
﴾41﴿
فِى
fī
In
سَمُومٍۢ
samūmin
scorching fire
وَحَمِيمٍۢ
waḥamīmin
and scalding water
﴾42﴿
وَظِلٍّۢ
waẓillin
And a shade
مِّن
min
of
يَحْمُومٍۢ
yaḥmūmin
black smoke
﴾43﴿
لَّا
lā
Not
بَارِدٍۢ
bāridin
cool
وَلَا
walā
and not
كَرِيمٍ
karīmin
pleasant
﴾44﴿
إِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed, they
كَانُوا۟
kānū
were
قَبْلَ
qabla
before
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
مُتْرَفِينَ
mut'rafīna
indulging in affluence
﴾45﴿
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
And were
يُصِرُّونَ
yuṣirrūna
persisting
عَلَى
ʿalā
in
ٱلْحِنثِ
l-ḥinthi
the sin
ٱلْعَظِيمِ
l-ʿaẓīmi
the great
﴾46﴿
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānū
And they used (to)
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna
say
أَئِذَا
a-idhā
When
مِتْنَا
mit'nā
we die
وَكُنَّا
wakunnā
and become
تُرَابًۭا
turāban
dust
وَعِظَـٰمًا
waʿiẓāman
and bones
أَءِنَّا
a-innā
will we
لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
lamabʿūthūna
surely be resurrected
﴾47﴿
